VISCARIELLO Ralph J. - Of Dedham, age 57, after a long and hard fought battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Dear husband of Peggy (Flaherty) Viscariello, formerly of Norwood. Devoted and loving father of John Anthony and Gina Maria Viscariello of Dedham. Son of the late Poppy & Tony Viscariello of Dedham and brother of the late Carol A. Civitarese of Dedham. Brother in law of Maryellen and Bob Goodlatte of Roanoke, VA, Laura and Sean Flaherty of Franklin, Peter Flaherty of Webster, loving son-in-law of Kathleen Flaherty of Norwood. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Long time resident of Dedham, Ralph was active with the towns youth sports organizations and served for many years as a Dedham Youth Soccer coach, officer and board member. Ralph was active in local politics as a town meeting member and a member of various town committees. Ralph worked 32 years in the Industrial Instrumentation field. He started his career at Chas. T. Main Engineers, Boston, Ma, and retired as a Sales Account Manager from General Electric Sensing Division, Billerica Ma, in September 2007 due to his illness.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Denis Church, Westwood, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00-8:00 P.M. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
