Welcome!

We’re glad you found us. Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) is a nonprofit organization that offers individualized support to ALS patients, families, and caregivers. We are here to offer you all that we can, including what we have learned from our own firsthand experiences with ALS. As you know, having ALS can be a life-changing event for everyone – the patient, the caregivers, family, friends, and health care professionals. Our services are meant for this entire network of care.

While many ALS organizations pursue a cure for future patients by focusing on scientific research, CCALS focuses solely on maintaining a holistic presence with the patients and caregivers of today. When requested, we strive to accompany them on their journey, actively listen to their concerns, care for their needs, and equip them to face end of life issues with dignity and grace.

We welcome all of your questions and requests.

"My nephew, age 38, was diagnosed in July 2007 with ALS. Your website is something I have been looking for since learning of his diagnosis!! Thank you!!!" – M.E. from TX

Research strongly suggests that the immune system is diminished by the absence of a social support system. The personalized care and unique services of Compassionate Care ALS demonstrate that people can be healed without necessarily being cured.
